Oluwadamilola Kolawole is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy at ÍâÍøÁÔÆæ School of Pharmacy, with specialisation in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology. Also, she is the Link Tutor and Leader of the MSci Pharmacy programme at Pharmaceutical Technical University, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a recipient of various, educational, research and travel grants. She has over a decade experience in teaching, research administration, including scientific conference and organisation, academic staff training, and academic curriculum development/review. In addition, she has five years’ experience in the regulation of pharmaceutical processes and products.

She has research interests in generation of biocompatible, mucoadhesive materials for biomedical applications, and she applies chemistry, biology, physics and engineering to her research. She is experienced in the development of emulsified systems, hydrogels, stimuli responsive dosage forms, nanoparticles, microparticles, and pharmaceutical films for topical and transmucosal drug delivery – ocular, bladder, buccal, skin, transdermal, vaginal, rectal routes of drug administration, etc.

She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed quality pharmaceutical and chemistry journals and is also a peer reviewer for various journal publishers (Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, ACS, and Dove Medical Press). She has delivered presentations (national and international) at symposia, universities and conferences). She has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students to completion.
